2nd quarter financials up on strong mobile performance at casino software provider Evolution Gaming.
Live dealer online casino games specialist Evolution Gaming has revealed their second quarter 2017 financial results, noting operating revenue up 56% from last year.
Key financial indicators for the period ending June 30th, 2017 were:
- Operating revenue at €42.3 million, up 56% from the year prior
- EBITDA up 81% to €19.2 million
- Profits at €14.6 million before tax
The results were fueled by strong performance in the mobile sector, which has grown steadily. It also appears that land casinos are eager to tie into the casino games for real money.
Evolution CEO Martin Carlesund said,
"I am very pleased to be able to sum up an eventful quarter with positive development in several areas; the favourable momentum of the past quarters continued into this period, with a strong and steady growth for all products. It can be noted that gaming revenues generated on our platform using mobile devices exceeded 50% for the first time in this quarter."
"We are seeing continued live casino initiatives among all of our customers, who are also marketing their offerings towards end users to an increasing extent."
"Land-based casinos continue to show considerable interest for our converging product 'Dual Play Roulette'; our latest installation, which is available for our entire licensee network, can be found at Grand Casino Bucharest. Finally, I am happy to announce that, after the end of the period, we have been given the all-clear to establish our next major studio in Tbilisi in Georgia."
"From this studio, we will continue to expand, offering our services to additional customers and markets."
